2013 Sep 3

Cindy Alvarado from Willis, TX has been admitted to the Master of Public Service and Administration at Texas A&M University's Bush School of Government and Public Service in College Station, Texas.

The Bush School has a record number of new fulltime students enrolled in its signature programs, the Master's Program in International Affairs (MPIA) and the Master of Public Service and Administration (MPSA).

Ninety-three students are enrolled in the MPIA program, and sixty-five are enrolled in the MPSA program. They come from eighteen different countries and thirty-six states.

Inspired by President George H.W. Bush's vision of public service as a noble calling and committed to its mission, the Bush School offers a comprehensive educational experience designed to cultivate professionalism and principle in public service. The Bush School is now ranked in the top 12 percent of the 266 graduate public affairs schools in the nation, according to rankings published in US News & World Report magazine. The School now ranks thirty-third among both public and private public affairs graduate programs and twenty-first among public university programs.

The School's online graduate certificate programs have also seen increased enrollments. Designed for students and working professionals in government, international affairs, law enforcement, military, homeland security, and nonprofit organizations, these programs allow students to earn graduate certificates online. Completion of a certificate program can also apply toward Bush School degrees.

Students can enroll in programs offering Certificates in Homeland Security, Advanced International Affairs, and Nonprofit Management in both the fall and spring semesters. This fall eighty students have enrolled in those programs, bringing the total enrollment in certificate programs to 331.

As with the degree programs, the certificate enrollees are a diverse group, representing thirty-five states and six foreign countries, including Nigeria, France, China, Dubai, and Azerbaijan. Active duty military personnel stationed around the world are among the certificate students. For more information about the Bush School, go to http://bush.tamu.edu.
